2011 Mini Reunion in Las Vegas
|
LAS VEGAS 2011
Some of the Fowler classmates of 1957 Gathered in Las Vegas in February 2011. Ann made all the contacts and was leader of the ring. Most of us saw "The Rat Pack" and heard the "Ink Spots" sing. Don shared lots of memories of school days - back when While others questioned where and when we might all meet again. Thanks to Steve who welcomed us with widespread open arms. He fed us and he chauffeured us and turned on all his charms. He gave a tour of dressing rooms, the showrooms and backstage And told us of the history of the Debbie Reynolds Age. The welcome bags were special with treats and cider too. The drive to see the bridge and dam gave us an awesome view. 'Twas fun to see the Pawn Stars and to see the city lights, But at our age we couldn't do too many Las Vegas nights. The Hospitality Room was nice (with fabric wall to wall). Thanks to Don for taking "his girls" shopping at a mall. Melverta and Jim celebrated their Golden Wedding Day And went to see Terry Fator and enjoyed him, they say. Paul took Teena shopping or was it Teena who took Paul. "Terry Fator" and the "Jersey Boys" are two shows that they saw. Maxine had her hands full when cocktail girls walked by - Although he wasn't looking, they always caught Larry's eye. She enjoyed visiting with everyone she knows, But if you let your guard down Maxine will be on YOUR toes! Larry and Don T. took a stroll and came to the Encore. Does anybody in the group know what they went there for? Several of us won a bit, but "Someone" topped us all. "She" got married in the chapel and left Jorge in the hall! There are secrets still untold about this latest trip, But they are hidden in the lights along the Las Vegas Strip. Jane Thomas (Chaperone)
